New Syndicate For 2017

I am forming a new syndicate to operate throughout 2017. This offers the opportunity for multiple racehorse ownership, combined with fun and really affordable cost options. Whether new or experienced in racehorse ownership, our theme for this syndicate has been built upon bringing like-minded people together, those who love horses and racing and want to share in the buzz and exhilaration of racehorse ownership at close quarters. Running from 1 January 2017 – 31 December 2017 this syndicate will provide up to four horses in training in order to give you the best opportunity of enjoying an uninterrupted ownership experience […]

Back by Popular Demand

Well it has been sometime since I updated …. When I look at other peoples’ web sites I cannot understand why they do not keep them up to date, very frustrating!!!  Yes I hear you cry!! As they say, it’s a funny old game this racing lark, I think we must add it’s a funny old world we live in.  A lot has been going on since my last update and I cannot begin to bore you all with the fine details. That said we had a wonderful family wedding which was a good excuse to smarten my old place […]

Spring has Sprung

Time for an update with lots of things happening here at College Farm.  A short break from the racetrack gearing ourselves up for the much awaited turf season.  I can hardly believe we should be at an evening meeting next Saturday at Nottingham.  Ground permitting we could have 2 runners in the Apprentice Handicap over 5f, Give Us a Belle and Humour.  After a beautiful day like today the ground is drying fast but with more rain forecast towards the end of the week I would say it is 50/50 whether we will be going.  Good to be the first […]

Wednesday 16th March

Bright and early Wednesday morning.  Good old Terry – sent him off at 5am with a mare to visit Dunaden at Overbury Stud in Gloucestershire.  A long way to “walk in” so hopefully she will get in foal with one visit.  Unfortunately our first two coverings did not bear fruit but at least they are only in Newmarket so the return trip is easy and we are still early in the season.  Still hoping to get the maiden/barren mares covered before we start foaling, Nothing imminent but certainly moving closer, cameras being set up and sleepless nights looming!! On to […]

Saturday 5th March

Wow another update!!!  steady on now I’m telling myself !!   Well its been a good work week here with the College Farm horses.  Nice pieces of work done in Newmarket, gearing up for the new season.   That said our next runner is over the hurdles at Huntingdon.  Our lovely Flamingo Beat is returning from a lengthy break, hopefully rearing to go, probably literally knowing him, and will give a good account of himself. The ground sounds ok in “official going” language at this stage, soft , good to soft but I am glad we are in the first […]

This update has been imminent for several weeks/months and I would add this is my second/third attempt after previous text disappeared into cyber space!!! Very Frustrating !!!!! I think I needed a winner to spur me on and thank goodness good old faithful Ziggy, Give us a Belle , duly obliged last night at Wolves!. He certainly kept the old heart racing to the end! August

Long time no blog !   Over half way through the year, 6 winners and 11 2nds so far with hopefully a lot more winners to come.  Life continues to be hectic here at College Farm but we are now really looking forward to the 2nd half of the year.  Our Queenie (Baileys pursuit) has done herself proud winning her last two races in quite impressive style.  She is on a well earned break now and may not return to the track until next year when I think she will continue where she has left off this year.   A […]

Few Remaining Shares

I am delighted to say we have almost got our handsome Fast Company colt syndicated.  He is looking so good and we really do think he could be the best we have had.  Fast Company offspring are doing exceptionally well on the racetrack.  We have just a few shares remaining at £1,500 for a 10% share plus £150 per month.  I will say I think he is a bargain and doubt you would find a Fast Company with a better pedigree and looks anywhere for the money !!! Please give me a call on my mobile 07775 793523 if you […]

Busy Week!

Well this really has been a busy week with 9 of our 16 horses in training racing.  Satin Waters didn’t disgrace herself first time over hurdles at Market Rasen last Sunday.  Her run wasn’t helped by a faller at the first which almost brought her down and seemed to make her a little apprehensive about the hurdles, which is a shame as she had jumped so confidently when schooling.  We were not too disappointed, she completed the course safely and I am sure once she learns how to breath between hurdles and gets more confident she will be a star.
