GO DAN GO

A belated Well Done Danzoe and well done team.  This really does seem to be his time of year and for once he is running consistently.  On paper I could not see how he could be beaten, but how many times do we think that.  A great ride from young Eoin Walsh again, despite the fact he got a little carried away with his whip and got a 2 day ban!!  I think we could all see he wasnt going to get caught but thats easy watching but never so certain with a horse like Danzoe running for the line!!   […]

Long time no speak !!!

Well please do not all faint with shock, that is if you still check my website!!!  I am so sorry for the long delay, I did wonder whether I would ever get back to doing this.  I was never sure if anyone read my blog but have to say I have had a few emails wondering what had happened to them from people I have never met so I think that is encouraging? Where do I begin to catch up…..so much has been going on, not enough hours in the day etc etc .  Had a few disapointments througout the […]

Not enough hours in a day !!

I wont begin again apologising  for the delay with my update!   I really do not know where the time goes!!  Mind you it is always the same the longer the days the more we can find to do!.  Sadly not had a lot to report on the racing front, well not sadly, just no winners! Not disastrous runs but just not got our head in front yet.  A couple of our newcomers finished at the back end of the field but to be honest they really did need the experience!  Poor Harry jumped out of the stalls to a wall of […]

Mixed Emotions

Sorry bit of a break between blogs!! Since my last update unfortunately we lost our lovely horse Classic Hart in a tragic accident on our home gallops.  He was such a lovely horse and was showing such promise we were all so excited about him.  It is always so sad to lose a horse but when you bring them into this world, nurse and care for them for over 3 years and get them to within a week of the racetrack it really is a gut wrencher.  Thankfully James who was riding him, despite being very shaken up, escaped with […]

Ready to run

Oh the joys of the british weather!!  We were all excited about our trip to Doncaster on Monday with our first time out home bred Classic Hart and exciting prospect Happydoingnothing.  We had a good journey, arrived safe and sound at the track, parked on the unloading bay…………then the heavens opened up!!! I believe they had 22mm of rain and 21mm of it must have fallen whilst we were waiting to unload! Ground went to heavy, horses had a rest for a few hours whilst we enjoyed the O & T hospitality, loaded up again and brought them home, easy this racing […]

Bank holiday Monday

Another Bank  holiday, not that it makes much difference when animals are concerned!  However, the weather is great for a change.  Last week was a good one despite no winners, it was pretty manic as usual, Monday saw me rushing off to the hospital to collect my mother after a fall at home late Sunday night, thankfully she was ok.   We got two of my personal favourites back on the track, Perseverent Pete at Brighton.  After a long lay off I was happy with his run, I should have stuck with plan A and ran him over further than the […]

Its been so long since I did a blog no idea where I was with the last one.  However, we are all well here at the stables, fighting fit and ready for a good season.  […]

New web site is here!

It is mid-April 2014. The new flat turf season is underway (always an exciting time) and great for us here with our lovely filly College Doll getting a great win at Southwell on Tuesday. She won comfortably from four pounds out of the handicap. A great performance and a great ride by Jimmy Quinn. To coincide with the new season, I have arranged for my web site to undergo a bit of a re-vamp. And here it is for you to enjoy. One of my long term, loyal owners has put it together for me for which I thank him. […]
