So how are we doing?

Last Tuesday saw our last runner for the month of July, Agent of Fortune finish 3rd in a 1 mile Handicap race at Yarmouth.

This brought to an end a busy month for the stable which had sent out 16 runners and although without a winner this month, four 2nd place and two 3rd place finishes had seen some exciting days at the races.

Pride of place for July would go to Hidden Dream who went close(2nd twice ) at Yarmouth along with Secret Treaties who stepped forward to post a career best performance on 25th July, when finishing 2nd by a nose in her race.

Queen of Burgundy is knocking at the door and again went close when finishing 2nd in a 6F event at Nottingham earlier in the month.

With Percy Toplis and the before mentioned Agent of Fortune beginning to find improved form when both finishing 3rd in their respective races, it must be only a matter of time before the stable lands it’s next winner.

So how are we doing ?

Analysis shows that the stable is ahead when compared to 2018.

Kraka & Queen of Burgundy are the only winners to date this year compared to Drop Kick Murphi, Agent of Fortune and Percy Toplis this time last year. But in every other statistic the stable is performing better, with more 2nd and 3rd place finishes and the total prize money being exceeded by 23% when compared to 2018.

Looking forward to August, the stable has most of the horses finding form at this busy time of the year, so who knows, the next winner could be seen at Chelmsford this Saturday (August 3rd) when Queen of Burgundy, Mazmerize, Percy Toplis and Hidden Dream are declared to run.

August will also see the likely appearance of one of the stables 2 year olds, when Moment of Peace is likely to make his debut on a race track.

Here is to an exciting August months racing.
