Saturday 5th March

cleanpairofheelsWow another update!!!  steady on now I’m telling myself !!   Well its been a good work week here with the College Farm horses.  Nice pieces of work done in Newmarket, gearing up for the new season.   That said our next runner is over the hurdles at Huntingdon.  Our lovely Flamingo Beat is returning from a lengthy break, hopefully rearing to go, probably literally knowing him, and will give a good account of himself.

The ground sounds ok in “official going” language at this stage, soft , good to soft but I am glad we are in the first race as I think it could be a bit sticky by the end of the meeting.  He last ran in October 14 so nice to get him back, hopefully all safe and sound.  Our lovely Sid (Sinema) should be out next week back at Southwell.

We were disappointed with his last Wolves run but I think we can say Wolverhampton is not a track to suit him, we can leave that track to the likes of Ziggy !!  However, I have just entered that old boy for Chelmsford next Thursday over 6f, not sure if we go or not yet .newmarket

I hardly dare say it but it is nice to have the whole yard now back in work.    My other exciting news is I may hopefully have puppies on the way with my beloved flatcoated retriever Molly!!  Anyone who has been to the yard will know her.

We should know in a few weeks if our early morning trip to Saffron Walden to meet her mate on Thursday has been a success.  Place orders early to avoid disappointment !!

Enough said except to add the Five to Follow info is now “live” on this site.  Entry forms should be downloadable. Other page updates are in hand !!

Enjoy the rest of the wet weekend, here’s looking forward to Huntingdon !
