Thursday at Yarmouth proved to be a frustrating day for the stable – with the four entered runners being reduced to a single participant after Moment of Peace, Penarth Pier and Secret Treaties were all non runners from the card which left Percy Toplis to carry Christines pink colours in a 1m 2F handicap.
After finishing 3rd in his last two races, Percy went off as one of the favoured horses at 7-1. Eion Walsh had Percy nicely placed in mid field until the 3f post when his effort was asked for, struggling to find room it did take a while for Percy to find space but he finished off really well to pick off at least 3 horses in the closing stages to finish a very good 2nd.
Percy is getting closer, but for better luck in running maybe a win today was missed.
That is now 7 visits to the winners enclosure in the last 10 races for the stable, all be it 2nd’s and 3rd’s. It does show that the horses as a whole are running well, enjoying their racing and the next win is surely just around the corner.
With no entries over the weekend we now turn to Nottingham on Tuesday, where Kraka is entered in a Class 6, 6 furlong sprint, where we hope for an improved run if declared.
Kraka also holds an entry at Yarmouth on the 15th along with Mazmerize, Secret Treaties and Agent of Fortune.
