GO DAN GO

A belated Well Done Danzoe and well done team.  This really does seem to be his time of year and for once he is running consistently.  On paper I could not see how he could be beaten, but how many times do we think that.  A great ride from young Eoin Walsh again, despite the fact he got a little carried away with his whip and got a 2 day ban!!  I think we could all see he wasnt going to get caught but thats easy watching but never so certain with a horse like Danzoe running for the line!!   I must say I really like the new track at Wolves, pity the journey can be such a pig as I think it is the best allweather track to race on – hopefully Chelmsford City may take that title in the new year.

A good day at the office so to speak… A busy week, a day at the sales resulted in 4 new recruits!  A couple of nice 3 year olds with decent form,  A two time winning  Kodiak filly “Born to Fly” , we will give her a little break and hopefully she will prove a worthy addition to the yard.   I like the fact she has won at Gt Yarmouth and a track like Brighton, and ran well on the allweather at Lingfield.   Shares will be available – see  Horses for Sale section!

Our other 3yo purchase is a cracking individual “Humour”  a highclere “castoff” having been a £100k yearling.  He has only had 5 runs and been placed 3rd and 2nd last two runs, unfortunately running round Wolverhampton on a Friday evening is not really the scene for the previous owners!!  However, I think there is plenty more to come from him,  I have syndicated him and there is one  6th share remaining if anyone is interested??  We will continue to run him for the remainder of this year and the plan will be for him to have a break Feb/March time ready for a turf campaign.

I am really excited about these two purchases, along with 2 new yearlings, a good looking son of Sakhees Secret, champion 3yo sprinter in 2007 and winner of the Gr 1 July Cup (a race I one day dream of winning!!)  He is proving a good sire having been Champion European First Crop Sire in 2012.  This colt is being syndicated – limited shares available if anyone is interested.  Our other purchase was a super little filly by Vita Rosa – not a much heard of sire but nevertheless a very successful Sunday Silence horse winning over £1.5m! .  She will be given plenty of time and be aimed at running back end 2015.  Our other yearlings are coming on well and all being well they will all be cantering before Christmas.

Our two runners this week have run well. Danzoe finished less than a length 4th at Nottingham in a competitive race and Dolly ran well but just couldn t pick up and quicken on the ground, it was drying soft ground and can prove a little testing, she loved the soft sloppy ground at Warwick when she ran there a while ago.  However, we took our chance in the last turf opportunity this year and now need to find the allweather races to end the year on a high as last year.

We have several horses ready or almost, for the winter, Give us a Belle crying out for a run, limited opportunities at the moment but he may take his chance in a higher grade back at his favourite track Wolves on the 15th.  Unfortunately I now have 3 horses on the same mark, wanting the same trip, with limited races! Dolly and Dan are well, P Pete, Ellingham, Irish Sweetheart, ready to go again,  along with Humour, Happydoingnothing and Emmessess wont be long.  Hoping Chelmsford City will have some opportunities in January for them all.

I am not going to mention the weather!! seasonal at last, not going to grumble about a good frost in the morning followed by winter sunshine!!  No wind and rain please.
