Bank holiday Monday

Another Bank  holiday, not that it makes much difference when animals are concerned!  However, the weather is great for a change.

Last week was a good one despite no winners, it was pretty manic as usual, Monday saw me rushing off to the hospital to collect my mother after a fall at home late Sunday night, thankfully she was ok.   We got two of my personal favourites back on the track, Perseverent Pete at Brighton.  After a long lay off I was happy with his run, I should have stuck with plan A and ran him over further than the 7f, however, he ran ok and came back fine which was the main thing so next race 1m +   Ellingham was in a hotly contested maiden at Lingfield after a very lengthy break.  We stepped her up in trip to try and get her to settle in her race.  I was happy with the run, beaten less than 8 lengths by some smart fancied horses.  She should now get a handicap mark to give us more opportunities.

Flamingo Beat schooled in Newmarket with jump jockey Trevor Whelan.  Really pleased with him so looking at a race next Sunday at Plumpton providing the ground is not too firm.

Arryzona worked well with Adam at Newmarket on Saturday morning, good to have a few of his syndicate there to watch, so we are all excited about his progress.

Good news on the breeding front,  3 of the 4 mares in Ireland scanned in foal, so now 5 of the 6 so far infoal.  could be a busy Spring in 2015 !

Exciting week ahead with our 2 boys Danzoe and Give us a Belle running at Brighton Wednesday  (providing the ground does not dry up too much)  unfortunately they are in the same race with only 7 runners, the 1 – 2 will do nicely!!

May do a spot of gardening this afternoon!!
