2015 Update

A very Belated Happy New Year. Already we are racing through the year (sorry for the pun!)

A New Year, A New Computer, no excuses!!!

To sum up 2014, some highlights, some disappointments, but all in all “most” of the horses ran ok without maybe winning. This year to date we have had 13 runs, resulting in 4 2nd places and a 3rd plus a couple of very unlucky runs! At least they are running well, one or two “issues” with jocs, so nearly could have had 4+ winners already this year which would have been an amazing start! I am sure the wins are just around the corner for the likes of
Give Us A Belle, Danzoe, College Doll, Humour, and Happydoingnothing.

I’ve recently managed to sneak away for a week in Switzerland, just to view the beautiful scenery so I haven’t returned with broken limbs from skiing or the like, although I did enjoy tobogganing down a mountain and lived to tell the tale!! Switzerland by train, The Bernina Express and the Glacier Express, absolutely amazing. Had a visit to St Moritz, unfortunately no racing that weekend on the frozen lake so may have to visit again to see the white turf in action! I decided to get away for a week as it will probably be the only week away this year. So excited about our mares – all six due to foal mid March , quite incredible but all six are due within 5 days of each other, what a week that could be if they all oblige on time! A few sleepless nights are in store in March but nevertheless I can’t wait.

2015 is looking so exciting, We had a few new additions to the yard last year namely Humour and Born to Fly. Cannot believe Humour hasn’t won for us yet, knocking on the door and his time will come soon. Born to Fly is coming along great, we have given her plenty of time to settle in and hoping to get her back on the racetrack by the end of March. Very excited and pleased with our 2yo’s. At this stage we have 3 cantering well and fingers crossed I hope to get them ready for the start of the turf season.

It was hoped we would have a good jumping season with Flamingo Beat but unfortunately he met with an injury which has resulted in a year off so we will not be seeing him on the track again until the end of 2015/early 2016. We do have one or two I am hoping will enjoy a good campaign over obstacles this year, so more on those when we get nearer to their jumping debuts. I will be updating our horses in training list so keep and eye on that to see where we are at with them all.

I need to get busy with my camera to get up to date pics for this site (or find a budding photographer to sort for me as I tend to lose heads or legs!!)

I feel I have no excuse now I have my super duper new computer to update on a regular basis, had hoped to insert a photo to this text but maybe next time!!

Here’s looking forward to a great New Year.
